All images and text have been passed to Sara for experimentation with layout. Following a meeting about the design, it was decided that;
- The zine must fit onto 2 lengths of A3 paper (the maximum size at the printers for double-sided printing)
- The zine will probably be portrait (subject to experimentation by Sara)
- Therefore, the zine will be 14 pages long (7 double sided pages) as one page from each length will be used for attaching the two halves together
A3 Page
split into 8 sections (two lengths of concertina booklet)
- The paper for printing needs to be quite thin as the zine will become very thick once folded
- The front page will contain a title (with or without images)
- The back page will contain contact details for myself, Sara, Peter and any campaigners who want their website etc to be printed)
- Each publication of the zine will be dedicated to a specific campaigner. The first zine is going to be 'Jamie' as he was the first person I interviewed and I have also conducted most experimentation on his images.
- Other people/images/text etc will feature in the zine but it will be primarily focused on one person
- The zine needs either a very clean, minimal look or a cluttered feel. The general feeling was that cluttered would suit the topic of Levenshulme, as it is such a busy high street.
